At Magenta Therapy, our team of compassionate, highly skilled clinicians is dedicated to helping you heal, grow, and thrive. We believe therapy should be a safe, collaborative space where every person feels heard, supported, and empowered.
We’re here to make mental health care accessible, affordable, and deeply human.
Alissa Babaeva is a therapist who completed her master’s degree at Boston University after a decade of professional figure skating experience and trauma-informed person-centered work. She is deeply passionate about the mind–body connection and integrates somatic tools and evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT, CFT, ERP, and is certified in EMDR, allowing her to gently guide clients toward peace and emotional balance.
If you’re struggling with anxiety that lingers in your body, restless nights, racing thoughts, and a heart that won’t settle, Alissa understands how overwhelming that can feel. She recognizes how anxiety can make mental tools seem ineffective when your body holds much of the distress.
Alissa’s passion for helping individuals with anxiety also informs her approach to treating OCD. She focuses on supporting patients in challenging distorted thoughts and obsessive patterns that often stem from underlying irrational anxieties. Drawing on her background as a professional athlete and her deep understanding of the body, Alissa helps patients develop self-regulation skills and build resilience as they engage in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) exercises.
Alissa works with individuals and couples. Her work with couples is informed by evidenced based modalities such as The Gottman Method. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, she earned a master’s in literature, enabling her to use narrative and embodied practices to explore new perspectives and enrich the healing process. You’ll learn tools that fit you, soothing your nervous system and calming your mind, as she supports every element of your story with care and a commitment to help you heal.
