01 Using Insurance

In-network care, with your coverage confirmed first

Magenta Therapy is in-network with many major insurance plans. When therapy is covered by your plan, you’re typically responsible only for a copay or any remaining deductible, not the full session rate.

Coverage varies from plan to plan, so we don’t leave it to guesswork. We verify your benefits before scheduling, then walk you through what we find in plain language, so there are no surprises once you begin.

Don’t see your plan?

You may still be able to work with us through out-of-network benefits or self-pay, many clients are reimbursed for a large part of the cost. Reach out and we’ll help you sort out your options.

02 Out-of-Network

You may get a large part of the cost back

If Magenta isn’t in-network with your specific plan, you still have options. Many clients with out-of-network benefits are reimbursed for a large part of the cost of their sessions, though the exact amount varies by plan.

We make this as easy as possible. We can check your out-of-network benefits before you start, tell you what to expect, and provide superbills, the documentation your insurer needs to reimburse you.

How reimbursement works

To make submitting superbills genuinely simple, we partner with Thrizer, a service built specifically to handle out-of-network reimbursement for therapy clients.

Instead of mailing paperwork and waiting, you can have your superbills submitted for you and track your reimbursement in one place.

HSA & FSA. Many clients are also able to use Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) funds toward the cost of therapy. We’re glad to provide whatever documentation your account requires.

03 Self-Pay

Simple, transparent rates

Some people prefer to pay directly, for the flexibility to choose their therapist and to shape how the work unfolds, without depending on plan rules or coverage limits. Our self-pay rates are clear and flat.

$100–150 Individual Therapy
$100–150 Couples Therapy
Rates vary by therapist. HSA and FSA funds can often be applied toward self-pay sessions.
